What Is Lipo-Dissolve?
Lipo-Dissolve is a minimally invasive injection-lipolysis treatment designed to reduce selected areas of localized subcutaneous fat.
A fat-dissolving solution is injected directly into the targeted fat layer. The treatment is intended to disrupt fat cells so the body can gradually process the treated tissue.
Lipo-Dissolve is not a weight-loss medication and is not intended to treat generalized obesity. It is a localized body-contouring treatment for patients with relatively small areas of unwanted fat.
At Maho Health, Dr. Olga Aleksandrova evaluates the treatment area and determines whether injection lipolysis is appropriate for the patient's anatomy and goals.

PC/DC Lipo-Dissolve
PC/DC refers to phosphatidylcholine (PC) and deoxycholic acid (DC), ingredients used in certain injection-lipolysis formulations.
Deoxycholic acid is a bile acid that occurs naturally in the body and is involved in fat digestion. When appropriately injected into adipose tissue, deoxycholic acid can disrupt fat-cell membranes.
Phosphatidylcholine is a naturally occurring phospholipid that is also used in injection-lipolysis formulations.
PC/DC treatments are designed to target localized fat deposits, rather than produce generalized weight loss.
Because injectable formulations can differ, patients should understand the specific product being used, its ingredients, treatment area, and expected results before treatment.

What Areas Can Lipo-Dissolve Treat?
Depending on the patient's anatomy and medical evaluation, Lipo-Dissolve may be considered for localized areas such as:
-
Lower abdomen
-
Upper abdomen
-
Love handles and flanks
-
Hips
-
Back and bra-line fat
-
Upper arms
-
Inner thighs
-
Inner knees
-
Selected chest fat in men
-
Anterior axillary fat
-
Other small, localized areas of subcutaneous fat
Not every area is appropriate for injection lipolysis. Dr. Aleksandrova evaluates the amount and location of fat, skin quality, underlying anatomy, medical history, and treatment goals before recommending treatment.

Can Lipo-Dissolve Be Used for Lipomas?
A lipoma is a benign growth made primarily of mature fat cells. Some patients seek a non-surgical option when a small lipoma is cosmetically bothersome.
Because not every lump under the skin is a lipoma, medical evaluation is important before treatment.
Dr. Olga Aleksandrova can evaluate a suspected lipoma and determine whether it is appropriate for conservative management, injection treatment, additional diagnostic evaluation, or referral for surgical removal.
For appropriately selected fatty lesions, injection lipolysis may be considered as a non-surgical approach to reducing the size of the lesion.
Larger, painful, rapidly growing, deep, or diagnostically uncertain lumps may require additional evaluation or surgical removal.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Lipo-Dissolve?
Lipo-Dissolve may be appropriate for adults who:
-
NORMAL LIVER FUNCTION ON BLOOD WORK ( Bring your blood work results to your free consultation)
-
Have a relatively stable body weight
-
Have localized areas of unwanted fat
-
Prefer a non-surgical approach, Minimally invasive
-
Have realistic expectations
-
Prefer a short, minimally invasive treatment session
-
Minimal recovery compared with surgical liposuction
-
Understand that Lipo-Dissolve is not a general weight-loss treatment
Lipo-Dissolve is generally better suited to small, localized fat deposits than large-volume fat removal.
Dr. Aleksandrova evaluates FOR FREE each patient individually before treatment.

Results, Recovery & Downtime
Lipo-Dissolve results develop gradually. The body needs time to process the treated tissue, so improvement may become more noticeable over the following weeks.
The number of treatments varies depending on the treatment area, amount of fat, individual response, and desired result.
Temporary effects may include:
-
Swelling
-
Tenderness
-
Bruising
-
Redness
-
Itching
-
Firmness
-
Temporary changes in sensation
Lipo-Dissolve generally does not require the surgical recovery associated with liposuction, but patients should expect some temporary local reactions after treatment.
